IT & Development Infrastructure Engineer
Own the infrastructure that lets a robotics R&D team move fast: machines, network, CI/CD and fleet deployment.
About the role
You will own the infrastructure that lets a robotics R&D team move fast: machines, network, CI/CD, and correct deployment across a genuinely heterogeneous robot fleet — multiple architectures, dual build targets, per-unit configuration. Security and access control, for both the development environment and the robots themselves, is a core part of the role.
What you'll do
- Own machines, network, VPN, remote access and backups
- Own development environments and dependency management across mixed toolchains
- Own build, test and deploy pipelines, including CI
- Ensure correct deployment across a heterogeneous fleet: aarch64 with CUDA, aarch64 without, x86
- Own shared storage, GitHub hygiene and access management
- Own security and access control for both the office/dev network and the robot fleet
- Work directly with every engineering team to keep their dev and deploy path efficient
What we look for
Some combination of the following:
- Deep Linux systems administration experience
- Networking and remote access: VLANs, VPN, wireless in a workshop environment
- Hands-on container and CI/CD experience
- Dependency management across multiple toolchains, and a principled approach to standardised, reproducible machines
Tech stack
- Linux (server and embedded), Docker/OCI containers, orchestration
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions or equivalent), cross-compilation for aarch64/Jetson-class targets
- VPN/VLAN tooling (WireGuard, Tailscale or equivalent), infrastructure as code
- GPU/CUDA build and deployment targets
Bonus experience
- GPU and compute cluster management
- Embedded or edge targets: cross-compilation, aarch64, Jetson
- Infrastructure as code at production depth
- Security and access hygiene at customer-audit level
