Life at HIVE
A small team, a lot of hardware, and very short feedback loops.
We are based in Lyngby 15 min. north of Copenhagen. Below is a bit more on how we work.

How we work
Hardware in the loop
Every engineer spends time with a real robot. Simulation is a tool, not the destination — decisions are validated on the floor.
Whole problems, owned end to end
Teams or individuals own a problem end to end: perception, control, deployment and the customer conversation that follows. Because we work at the state of the art, open and frequent sparring and feedback is necessary — we run a modified SCRUM methodology to support that.
Short feedback cycles
We release to the real robots many times daily. Going from sim to real is a critical part of staying competitive and keeping up.
Written thinking
Decisions are argued in short documents before they are built. It keeps the reasoning available long after the meeting ends. We use AI intensively as an integrated part of our knowledge management and production.

Working hours and presence
37 hours per week
A standard Danish full-time week, excluding lunch.
On site, every day
We do not have a work from home policy. The work happens in the lab.
09:30 – 15:30 core hours
Physical presence is mandatory in this window every day.
We prioritize that our team is with the robots and around each other at the same time.
