Robot Technician
Keep the fleet in known-good condition: preventive maintenance, calibration, inspection and bring-up.
About the role
Our robots do real work every day, and this role keeps them in known-good condition. You will own preventive maintenance, calibration and inspection across the fleet, with the standing to make the call on whether a robot goes out. It's a hands-on, high-trust role at the heart of the operation.
What you'll do
- Perform preventive maintenance and service: cabling, fasteners, wear parts, mechanical condition
- Run calibration as a routine, including the teleoperation rig
- Own the inspection routine and its records, so trends stay visible
- Handle new-platform and new-unit bring-up
- Communicate with the robot vendor to troubleshoot problems
- Make the final call on whether a robot is fit for operation
- Work closely with the engineering teams who depend on the fleet being ready
What we look for
Some combination of the following:
- Hands-on electromechanical service experience on real equipment
- A methodical, documenting work style — behaviour changes should be traceable to a specific service
- Comfort with Linux basics, SSH and networks
- The professional confidence to keep quality steady, even under schedule pressure
Tools you'll work with
- Standard electromechanical service tooling
- Linux CLI / SSH for diagnostics and calibration routines
- Version-controlled service logs and inspection records
- CAD modelling and 3D printing
Bonus experience
- Robotics or automation background
- Sensor mounting, fixtures, light fabrication
- Electrical diagnosis: harnesses, connectors, power
- Field service experience
